MISSING 16 YR. OLD GIRL FROM MISSISSIPPI

MAKES PHONE CALL TO HER MOTHER

FROM PORT ORANGE, FL.

July 6, 2008

============================

All my information is from

the police radio channels -  hank

Police officers parked their vehicles at the shell gas station,

Taylor Branch Road, Port Orange, Fl.

while they search the woods east of the gas station.

A 16 yr. old female who had been missing from Mississippi

reportedly phoned her mother to tell her that

the car she was in broke down.

The report was that the missing female was with a group

consisting of (one or two other females?) and

a 28 yr. old male, who might be armed with one or more guns.

The 28 yr. old male, had open warrants.

(either warrants are for home invasion and robbery,

or that is his criminal history)

Just as the Port Orange police finished their searched

of the woods with negative findings,

VCSO reported that all the subjects, except the

28 yr. old male, were found on I-95 under

the Beville Road overpass.

The found subjects told police that the 28 yr. old male

had been picked up by a vehicle, and they

went north bound on I-95.

They also told police

that a car had been stolen in Miami.

I don't know if this is the same car that

is reported to have broken down.

As far as I know, the vehicle they were

riding in has not been recovered.

....Two Port Orange men were nabbed while trying to get a bite to eat and were arrested on organized scheme to defraud charges Wednesday after three failed attempts to open accounts with a bad check, according to Port Orange police.

Mahoney

Brosman

Gateway Bank personnel told police Jeramie Saloman Mahoney, 19, tried to deposit a worthless check and went next door to Astros Quality Sandwiches, according to a police report. Police found him there along with Kevin Dale Brosman, 24, who police said had written the $4,760 check to Mahoney off a closed Regions account.

Mahoney was also wanted on a warrant for retail theft, said Capt. Frank Surmaczewicz. In addition, Mahoney and Brosman tried to open accounts at Colonial Bank and Federal Trust Bank.

"We're happy to get them off the street," he said, noting their persistence trying to open an account with the bad check, which police found in Mahoney's pocket. Knowing full well the Regions Bank account was closed, Brosman wrote checks for $24.30 and $1.17 to pay for the food ordered at Astros, reports state. ...

Port Orange Police Department

News Release

Date: June 3,2008

______________________________________________________________________

The Port Orange Police Department Criminal Investigation Division disseminated an initial press release on April 10, 2008. The information pertained to two females that were targeting elderly shoppers inside of the Publix Store.

The MO of the two suspects was that they followed elderly females inside Publix. The female suspects closely watched the victims shopping and when the opportunity presented itself the black female approached the victim’s shopping cart where their purse was located. The suspects would then remove the victim’s wallet from within the purse. The female suspects then exited the store and would immediately go to another business and use the victim’s credit card to make purchases, usually gift cards.

The investigation has led to the identification of Argua Lavette Wright and Amy Nicole Cummins as being the two suspects who were targeting elderly shoppers. Three cases have been closed from the Publix Store and one from our Winn Dixie Store. Detective Joe Swetz was able to obtain arrest warrants against both suspects on May 30, 2008. The location of both suspects is unknown as of this date.

11 am

From what I heard on the police radio channel, a relative found
his brother dead inside a home
on Fairway Cove Drive,
Port Orange, Fl, which
he thought was inflicted from a gun shot.

I heard that a preliminary report
indicated a possible suicide,
but this has not yet been
verified by police and is
being investigated.

I think it is ok to let you all
know about this tragedy,
since a relative was on scene
and of course already knows
about the death of a family member.

Police stopped a car in the 4000 block of Ridgewood Avenue driven by Michael Gregory McCowie, 32, of Greenbriar Avenue in Ormond Beach.

The front windows had 19 percent tint on them, and the minimum legal limit is 28 percent for front windows.

McCowie told police his drivers license was suspended, and he was arrested.

Officers then searched McCowie's car, and found a small white rock under the seat of the passenger, Vara.

The rock tested positive for crack cocaine, according to the report.

Both were taken to jail, in lieu of $1,000 bond for Vara and $250 bond for McCowie.
