V4, V3, V2, V1 WERE TRAVELING NORTHBOUND ON I-95 IN THE INSIDE
LANE. V4, V3 AND V2 SLOWED FOR OTHER TRAFFIC. FOR AN UNKNOWN
REASON V1 DID NOT SLOW DOWN AND THE FRONT OF V1 STRUCK THE REAR
OF V2. V2 WAS PUSHED FORWARD AND THE FRONT OF V2 STRUCK THE REAR
OF V3. V3 WAS PUSHED FORWARD AND THE FRONT OF V3 STRUCK THE REAR
OF V4. THE NORTHBOUND LANES OF 1-95 WERE CLOSED FOR ABOUT 2
HOURS. AFTER THIS CRASHED OCCURRED THERE WAS A TWO CAR CRASH
THAT OCCURRED IN THE SOUTHBOUND LANES OF I-95 AT THE SAME
LOCATION. 4 PEOPLE WERE TRANSPORTED FROM THE NORTHBOUND CRASH
AND 2 PEOPLE WERE TRANSPORTED FROM THE SOUTHBOUND CRASH. V1
DRIVER WAS CHARGED WITH CARELESS DRIVING.
At 9:31 this morning, units from Daytona Beach Fire, Port Orange
Fire-Rescue, South Daytona Fire, and EVAC ambulance responded to
a motor vehicle accident at 257 northbound. Of the thirteen
people involved, four patients were transported via EVAC to
Halifax Daytona. Crews were still packaging patients from the
initial accident when a second accident, involving an SUV and a
two-door Volkswagon, occurred directly across the median at 257
southbound I-95. The SUV ended up in the woods along the
roadway and the Volkswagon came to a stop in the median. The
single passenger of the VW required extrication. Three total
patients were transported to Halifax Daytona from the second
motor vehicle accident.
There was a
hit and run accident in New Smyrna Beach,
(1:30 PM?) May 29,
2009,
multiple
vehicles involved.
A witness
followed the vehicle that left the scene
and lost
sight of the vehicle when it
went 100 MPH
northbound on U.S. 1
in the
vicinity of the three bridges.
A Port Orange
Police Unit spotted the vehicle
and stopped
it on Nova Road at Village Lane.
It was
discovered that the male operator
was in a
medical diabetic problem.

That construction site is the
Williamson Business Park (or Port Orange Business Park). It is
a 4-lot commercial/industrial subdivision on 52 acres. That is
where Raydon is relocating.
There was actually an article
online today. (See below) The road work is adding a turn lane
into the property.

and had open warrants for her arrest.

A
motorcyclist struck a 15-year-old boy Tuesday night on Clyde
Morris Boulevard in Port Orange, officials said.
The motorcycle hit the unidentified boy, who was on foot,
about 7 p.m., sending him to the hospital with serious injuries,
EVAC ambulance spokesman Mark O'Keefe said.
The boy was transported to Halifax Health Medical Center in
Daytona Beach. The motorcyclist, also unidentified, suffered
minor injuries, O'Keefe said.
The boy's condition and details of the accident were
unavailable late Tuesday.

marker 257 on I-95 southbound (the Williamson overpass). The first unit
was on-scene at 8:00 pm They found a single vehicle rollover with two
entrapped patients and one fatality. Crews quickly removed the entrapped
patients who were transported via Evac Ambulance.

Two people were killed in separate crashes Wednesday night in Volusia
County on Interstate 95 in Port Orange and North Amelia Avenue in DeLand,

The first accident involved a truck traveling on I-95 from Ormond
