Atlantic Ave. and Florida Shores.
Daytona Beach Shores, (maybe 2 miles) north of Dunlawton Ave.
Between the Hilton Hotel and the Top of Daytona Restaurant.

I think these are umbrellas provided by the Hilton Hotel
for their guests.

  Music from the Hilton's Tiki Bar at pool side
drifted down to the beach. 

Condos and Top Of Daytona Restaurant on top level.
Those clouds preclude a fierce thunder and lightening storm which
went through the area about 30 minutes after this photo was taken.
The storm knocked out some of the police dispatch channels for the  Port Orange Police Department.
 

  To the west, one block to Peninsula Blvd.,
and the Halifax River
a little ways farther behind private property.

November 17, 2003 - Mallard Ave. walkway to the beach, I guess in Wilbur by the Sea, about 2 and 1/2 miles(?) south from Dunlawton Ave.

  Now that it is getting cold up North, I bet a lot of northerner's are thinking of Florida.  I know son Robert is, since he recently bought a town house in Wellington, Florida..  How great!  About a 2 and 1/2 hr. drive from Port Orange.   Now we can visit Robert, Jane and granddaughters when they come down for a winter retreat. 

Looks like there are only parking spaces for about 10 vehicles.

Dunlawton Ave., beach area at the ocean.  August 19, 2003, 7:30 PM.  Calm ocean, 88 degrees, empty beach.  Nice evening at the quiet beach.
